Théotime Langlois de Swarte & the orchestra of the Eighteenth Century
For a long time, Joseph Bologne de Saint-Georges stood in Mozart's shadow as 'the black Mozart'.
Young star baroque violinist Théotime Langlois de Swarte and the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century are not satisfied with this and finally place the two composers on an equal footing.
Théotime Langlois de Swarte is part of a new generation of French Baroque musicians who find a freedom that has something cool about it in historical performance practice. At the same time, this generation is achieving a perfection and purity that for a long time seemed impossible. In combination with an endless curiosity for new old music and incredible creativity in creating programs, hip (historically informed practice) is now hipper than ever.
