Four gentlemen from Rotterdam/Delft, also known as The Tommyrots (loosely translated as 'the nonsense') celebrate the nonsense of life by making serious music. The Tommyrots (Tom, Thomas, Lito and Jens) create memorable melodies and powerful hooks with their own songs, reminiscent of the heyday of pop rock from the 60s/70s, without coming across as old-fashioned or dated; but which serve to stimulate young ears as well. Listening to The Tommyrots is like tasting a good, old wine: rich in influences and characteristic in taste. The full sounds of their 3-part vocals in combination with eccentric drums, pumping bass lines and cracking guitars make The Tommyrots a band that matters: now more than ever... and that is noticeable. In 2023, The Tommyrots have already proven themselves live as a promising act by winning both the Peter Tetteroo Bokaal and the Grote Prijs van Rotterdam - Audience Award.
