The Storm Behind Our Smiles | The Bullfight

In the fall of 2024, The Bullfight will release a CD box set in honor of the band's 20th anniversary. The box will consist of 3 CDs and a booklet. The CDs will provide an overview of a collection of songs from the past twenty years. The other CDs will consist of demos, outtakes and live recordings from 2004-2024.

Previously, the band received critical acclaim with releases around Murder Ballads (2019), which included the printing of an art book, a spoken word record (2022) with guest contributions from Henry Rollins, Barry Hay and Spinvis, among others. Early 2024, the band released its latest album (Amen, Demon) as a soundtrack to the debut novel (Het interview, Studio Kers 2024) by guitarist Thomas van der Vliet.

The band will promote the release of the box with a small theater tour where various songs from the past twenty years (in a new guise) will be heard. Live the band plays in a beautiful line-up with violin, double bass, keyboards, guitar and vocals.

The CD box will be a limited pressing, with a small number sold through distribution and the rest sold at the shows during the tour.
