Sometimes it’s simple: a band just has to make people dance. The Rills are masters of that, fitting in effortlessly with Bloc Party, Arctic Monkeys and Foals on a typical Kiss All Hipsters night. Their sound is angular, sharp and tight, with an addictive catchiness and a healthy dose of bravado. Live, the energy explodes from the stage and they effortlessly show off their virtuosity.
This Sheffield band were one of the standout acts at Left Of The Dial. Their music feels like the perfect soundtrack after a day of chilling at the skate park. Indie trash is back, and it feels like The Rills' breakthrough moment could come any minute. For now, they're getting the Rotown moving with a show you won't soon forget.
