The People United Will Never Be Defeated! Ralph van Raat plays Rzewski's monumental protest piece

With the current state of the world, the reasons for Ralph van Raat to play this monumental protest piece again are countless. In The People United Will Never Be Defeated! Rzewski transforms a protest song by the Chilean Sergio Ortega into a large work lasting over an hour, in which the song appears in all kinds of styles and variations. From the electronic work El Pueblo by Bart Spaan, in which groups of people say 'The people united will never be defeated!' shout, Rzewski begins, made extra powerful by a video installation of protest images.
