The Oscars are coming! In LantarenVenster we pull an all-nighter and watch the awards ceremony together from the cinema.
The Oscars are coming! On Sunday 2 March, we will be showing a great selection of nominated films from morning to night during Oscar Sunday 2025. Stay tuned for the programme. After the last film screening, we will remain open all night and you can enjoy the live broadcast of the coveted Academy Awards from 11:30 PM. Just like in previous years, Gudo Tienhooven (film journalist Algemeen Dagblad) and John de Jong (the MovieInsiders podcast) will provide live commentary on the awards ceremony from LantarenVenster. Before the ceremony and during the commercial breaks, Gudo and John will update you on the best films of the past year, controversies, winners and losers. Tickets for the live broadcast are free. Do you want to be sure of a spot and arrange a nice breakfast in advance?
