The Analogues
The White Album is the most diverse and eclectic album by The Beatles. The Analogues play it in its entirety, with brass and strings, using the same instrumentation that The Beatles used at the time.
Beatles connoisseurs consider The White Album to be the most 'idiosyncratic' thing The Beatles made during their studio years. On the one hand, the band went back to basics after a period of wild experiments and complex arrangements, and the album shows that The Beatles were not only musically innovative, but also simply a great rock 'n' roll band. On the other hand, personal struggles ensured that there are many 'one-man projects' on the record, and in retrospect we can say: thank goodness.
The White Album by The Analogues received rave reviews at home and abroad, and was the highlight of International Beatles Week in Liverpool.
