(Sur)Render - Alida Dors
It is an old fact; humanity losing each other and finding each other again. Yet the need to find each other again this time, to give a new meaning to that humanity is perhaps greater than ever.
In (Sur)Render, theatre maker and choreographer Alida Dors searches for a 'new us'. By letting go of what offers safety, the journey through surreal landscapes of our mind turns out to lead to unexpected destinations. Who dares to descend into themselves and from there allow new worlds in?
Together with her dancers and the band HAYP, Alida Dors creates a new chapter after the success of Closed Eyes with (Sur)Render; a total experience with enchanting dance, rousing music, flowing poetry and dreamy visuals. With the overarching question: how should we continue as human beings?
(Sur)Render is a radical call to collectively take action and come to a new shared frequency. Can we dance together?
