Lissy, Tom and Ellen all belong to the Lunies family. That last name seems to be their only similarity, as they otherwise lead completely different lives. While Tom tries to complete a piece of music as a conductor, his sister Ellen struggles with her inner demons. Their mother Lissy breathes a sigh of relief when her demented husband is finally placed in a nursing home. Although her happiness is short-lived when her own health suddenly fails. Actually, there is nothing that connects these family members. Until they are confronted with death... Sterben is a pitch-black comedy directed by Matthias Glassner, with German star Lars Eidinger.
