We take you out of Rotterdam for a moment. To Overvecht, a post-war high-rise district in Utrecht. It is 1990. In a gallery flat on the fifth floor, a few house numbers apart, live Lucas Oldeman and Erik de Jong. Both young fathers, both musicians. A friendship begins in the elevator that would last.
10 years later. Erik becomes Spinvis and Lucas becomes the Spinvis pianist for life.
Another 25 years and many adventures later, the friends are standing on a new hilltop. On the horizon, an unexplored area, and behind them, far away, you can just see the flats of Overvecht.
And now we go back to Rotterdam, to Katendrecht, to Walhalla where you can see Erik and Lucas this season in the musical performance OVERVECHT. With that, the men realize their long-cherished plan to perform Spinvis' songs together in all their purity, with nothing but piano and guitar.
