A group of young people gathers. They are about to leave Earth, in search of a better future, a better world. The events on Earth have become unbearable for them. They decide to leave everything behind and head into the unknown. But before they leave, they celebrate life one last time!
It is the night before departure. The DJ's music is the soundtrack of their farewell. They are celebrating their freedom. This is their moment, their farewell to everything they know: their loved ones and the familiar city.
They go on a journey. Light years from home, in search of extraterrestrial life, answers, something better. As time passes, the first tensions arise. Who will take charge? Why should anyone be in charge? Can they trust each other in space, or will they lose each other? And who is really in charge of their future? Will the journey bring them back to Earth or will they choose the emptiness of the universe?
Space is the place is a visual, musical, raw performance about farewell, hope, and the search for meaning in a world that seems to be perishing.
