Sonoor Listening Bar x Plafond record label

For our next listening session, we've asked Ruben Verkuylen to curate the evening. He invited artists that are definitely cut from the same cloth, in it to transform and connect.

Bintang Manira Manik will perform live for us. Bintang is a multidisciplinary artist who blends traditional instruments like the tabla with modern electronic techniques. Through live sound processing and immersive soundscapes, he crafts experiences that honor cultural heritage while pushing creative boundaries.

His work explores the connection between sound, culture, and community, using music as a universal language for healing and storytelling. From historical traumas to creating addressing otherworldly sounds, Bintang's performances inspire reflection and connection.

Lola her sets flow between meditative stillness and euphoric peaks, blending downtempo IDM, experimental techno, and ambient sounds into journeys that wash away dancefloor boundaries. Driven by deep musical research and a passion for sound's transformative power, she co-hosts Recovery Channel on Echobox and Kiosk Radio, exploring music's connection to mental well-being.

Her laundry list (in the most positive sense of the word) of performances include ambient sets at ADE's Breakfast Club, murmur nights, and showcases with Minimal Collective on the Addit audio system.

As a DJ and producer, the Social Lover takes a collating approach, weaving together musical tensions and harmony to create new sounds. He has some special cards up his sleeves, shifting between the darker and somber tones to more lighthearted, engaging the spirit in motion.

Ruben Verkuylen, the man behind the moniker, draws inspiration from the contemporary and the futuristic, always refreshing his perspective on club music and broadcasting. Last not forgotten: he is the co-founder of the music labels Plafond and Rubber
