Wander to Wonder Nina Gantz Duration: 13 minutes Wander to Wonder is a short stop-motion animation film from 2023, directed by Rotterdam-based Nina Gantz (daughter of Loes Luca). Mary, Billybud and Fumbleton are the stars of an 80s TV show: Wander to Wonder . After the death of their maker, the trio must fend for themselves in the studio. As their hunger grows, the show becomes increasingly grim. With a unique combination of dark themes and a cuddly aesthetic, the film explores themes of loss and grief. Wander to Wonder was selected for the Venice Film Festival and has now been nominated for an Oscar – an achievement that we as Rotterdammers are proud of! I'm Not a Robot Victoria Warmerdam Duration: 22 minutes is a short, black comedy science fiction film from 2023 by Victoria Warmerdam. The film follows Lara, a music producer who keeps failing CAPTCHA tests and begins to wonder: am I even human? I'm Not a Robot premiered at the Netherlands Film Festival and is now nominated for an Oscar.
