Ruins & Renewal

What is the impact of human activities on our landscape?

Ruins & Renewal

On the first Friday of March, the exhibition Ruins & Renewal opens in Het Archief Artspace (Rotterdam). Admire the work of artists Tim van Hooft, Erik Peters, Thomas Meijerman, Rui de Boer and Miriam Sentler & Wouter Osterholt. Ruins & Renewal is also part of Rotterdam Art Week (26 to 30 March) where a special radio station (Radio Het Archief hosted by petsq) will be set up between the artworks. Expect (live) music, radio interviews with artists and a closing party on Sunday 30 March.

Ruins & Renewal explores the profound relationship between humans and nature. All artists examine the impact of human activities on our landscape. What are the consequences of industrial activities on ecological recovery? How can we reshape the harmony between humans and nature? The artists use both natural elements and scientific insights to form new identities and stories.
