After a few beautiful musical evenings with our own Frederique Spigt, Roel Spanjers is back with his own work. It was high time for the successor to his obscure masterpiece Birdcatcher (Munich Records 2006).

It is here now, with the only logical title Birdcatcher II (September 2024, Suburban Records). Reason for Roel to visit Walhalla again during his tour.

Come see, hear and wander through a rich musical landscape that sounds familiar but leaves much to the imagination. You hear echoes of Bobby Charles, Hi Records Soul from Memphis, Americana à la The Band and the New Orleans of Allen Toussaint. A performance full of varied songs that are strongly connected musically, thematically and atmospherically and in which tradition is honored in a fresh and original way.
