Rinus wants to be the strongest rhino in the world!

Just as strong as grandpa rhino. He used to be the strongest too.

Now grandpa is old. He just wants to sleep and can't hear very well anymore.

Rinus should go on an adventure himself.

He sneaks away on tiptoes...

Will that go well? What will Rinus experience?

And is grandpa really too old to be the strongest anymore?

Come and see quickly! But quietly, because grandpa is sleeping...

This performance is based on the Picture Book of the Year 2025 of the same name by Ingrid and Dieter Schubert (Publisher Hoogland & Van Klaveren) and was specially created for the National Reading Days.

Well-known puppeteer (& -maker) Jogchem Jalink (Sesame Street, Boterhamshow and Patsboemkledder on TV) also played Coco kan het! in our theater in November. Every year he makes a show about the Picture Book of the Year, with catchy songs and puppets that seem to have stepped out of the book. Rinus, grandpa and all the animals from the jungle literally come to life as large puppets in this cheerful theater adventure!
