Ramadan met Hasan

Together with Hasan Gök we invite you to a unique evening focusing on the spiritual and cultural heart of Ramadan.

With music, spoken word, rituals and dance we explore the rich traditions and stories of this special month. It is a program that touches, connects and inspires. From the intimate iftar to poetic readings and enchanting music – this is an evening to celebrate and reflect together. Everyone is welcome to experience this journey of connection and discovery with us.

The evening begins with a moment of togetherness: the iftar. Here we break the fast together and share an intimate experience. There is room for prayer, so that everyone can experience these spiritual moments in complete peace.

Afterwards, Hasan Gök, a master in expressing religious and cultural themes, will perform a specially written poem about Ramadan. His poetry is enhanced by the enchanting sounds of ney player Sinan Arat. Sinan will take you on a musical journey through time and tradition, and will also play an impressive solo piece that touches the core of Ramadan.

In the second part of the evening we will stimulate with Taboe Tabee, a short film by Bo Diversity in which queer Muslims share their stories. This film courageously explores the layers of identity, faith and love during Ramadan. In addition, you can admire an exhibition with photos and stories of queer Muslims. Here we show how diverse the Muslim community is and how many unique journeys are hidden within it.

Dancer Fazle Shairmahomed brings the spiritual dimension of Ramadan to life with a powerful ritual dance performance. Expect a performance that goes straight to your soul. You will also hear an impressive Quran recitation, in which the serenity of this moment is central.

We will conclude with an interactive Ramadan Game Show. Facts and fables will be examined in a light-hearted manner. What do you really know about Ramadan? It promises to be a cheerful and educational conclusion to an evening that touches, connects and inspires.
