Specially for this concert, the talented singer Rajesh Panwar from Mumbai will come to Rotterdam. His repertoire consists of a varied number of Golden Oldies by the famous Bollywood singer Mohammed Rafi.
Mohammed Rafi (1924 – 1980) was a famous Indian playback singer and is considered one of the most outstanding artists in the history of Indian music.
He was known for his incredibly versatile voice which he lent to many leading actors of his time, making him a favorite of music arrangers and filmmakers.
His career as a playback singer began in the 1940s. Mohammed Rafi received numerous awards and honours for his contribution to music, several National Film Awards and Filmfare Awards. He was also honoured with the Padma Shri, one of India's highest civilian awards.
