Queer Oriental Rotterdam vol 3
Queer Oriental Rotterdam is a cultural queer meeting and entertainment event, organized by Stichting Sirkaf. The event offers a platform for cultural exchange with music, dance and stage performances inspired by motifs from Turkey, Mesopotamia and the Middle East.
Under the name Queer Oriental we want to highlight the presence of queer communities in Turkey, Mesopotamia and the Middle East and draw attention to their struggle for rights and equality. This event also honors the culture, entertainment and oriental dance traditions from these regions, bringing that cultural heritage here to connect it with the local queer community.
Our goal is to create a safe space where the LGBTQIA+ community can come together to socialize, have fun and build new friendships and connections.
