Proms: Jazz at the Philharmonic Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest

'A symphony orchestra that swings like crazy, it is possible,' read the headline in the Volkskrant not so long ago after a concert of ours with Lahav Shani as pianist. It was Count Basie's steamy big band hit The Kid from Red Bank, arranged by Lahav himself, that thrilled the orchestra, audience and press. High time for more of those goodies – with Lahav's brother Rom and the legendary WDR Big Band as special guests.
