Pop-up performances

Shaynah grew up in a musical family and has developed her passion into an impressive career. She performed during Sabrina Starke's Dreamer's Tour, shone at the North Sea Jazz Festival and collaborates with artists such as HAYP and Nosa Apolo. Her album Chapter 22, divided over three EPs (PUZZLED, WASTED and NAKED), tells personal stories about self-discovery. With singles such as Fair Play she shows her versatility and emotional depth, while uniquely combining soul and jazz in her music.


WON

Born in Aurora, Illinois, and now based in Rotterdam, WON (World of Nelly) is a promising voice in the hip-hop scene. This versatile artist effortlessly combines alternative rap, jazz rap and melodic boom bap. His sound is deeply rooted in the influences of hip-hop, R&B and gospel that he received from home. As an MC, WON brings a powerful message. His positive lyrics reflect his experiences and celebrate black culture.


Rass King

Rass King, formerly known as Rass Motivated, is the musical voice of Sherandell Maynard, a 31-year-old Rotterdammer with deep roots in reggae and hip-hop. With an acoustic set, accompanied by a guitarist, he brings music that is uplifting and thoughtful. His themes? Life, female friendliness and positive attention for black culture. Rass King's performance promises to be an intimate and inspiring moment, in which his powerful voice and stories are central.


About the exhibition Matter of Place

The exhibition Matter of Place presents an impressive overview of the work of British artist Thomas J Price (1981, London). With his subtle yet powerful works in various media, such as sculpture, performance, photography and animation, Price continually explores the boundaries of material, scale and presentation. He focuses on themes such as representation and the influence of power in society.
