Pace

PACE is the first production of the Scandinavian circus company Below Zero . The show is an intimate duet with the hand-in-hand couple Axel and Sara. It touches on the idea of relationships - status, power inequality, consent and equality. Although the show deals with many heavy topics, the piece is full of humor, warmth, feelings, original movements and the highest level of modern circus.

To see PACE is to see our human heritage. It is a story of two people, but also a story about society, about equality, where society is going and where we want society as a whole to go.

With music spanning different genres, the soundscape is unpredictable, adding life to the performance as electric beats mingle with Scandinavian folk music.

With a simple yet impressive scenography, PACE brings the stage to life. From small intimate spaces to large rooms with walls looking down on the artists, the scenography changes organically with the performance. The soft light that the tired fabric casts on the space creates a bridge between the industrial door frame of solid steel and the human vulnerability of the bodies of the artists.
