Openingsweekend TENT Rotterdam

TENT opens its doors to the public and celebrates this new milestone with a special exhibition, Walk On By , curated by Joy Davis. The exhibition is part of a long-term project and a collaboration between six artists. The project explores the African diaspora in two historic industrial port cities and brings to life the layered and diverse stories of local artists. Joy Davis paired artists with complementary working methods, resulting in a multifaceted presentation with paintings, drawings and murals.

As a production house, TENT operates from a boundless curiosity about the many ways in which art can take shape and connect with people. TENT offers space to new voices and combines artistic and social encounters in its programs, in which co-creation plays an important role. Art is approached as a means to share stories and strengthen communities.

With an open door for everyone, TENT functions as a place where people can meet, find inspiration or work together on projects. In addition to activities at its permanent location, TENT also initiates nomadic projects that are spread throughout the city. By searching for the best form, themes and partners together with makers, TENT creates projects that both deepen and connect.
