Opening | Wunderkammer van het Kleine Gebaar With more than 3,000 postcards
The third edition of the Doelen Wunderkammer invites visitors to immerse themselves in an installation of more than 3,000 postcards: an ode to small gestures in great times, with a nod to nostalgia and comfort.
In the hall of concert hall de Doelen, the Wunderkammer shines once again, this time entirely dedicated to the small gesture. Curated by Mieke van der Linden and with artist AMC Fok as visual brain, this third edition shows an impressive installation of over 3000 postcards: a colorful collection of images from museums, pop culture, history and loving kitsch.
In addition to watching, you can also participate. Visitors can choose a card, describe it and deposit it in the Doelen Mailbox – complete with a unique stamp. A handwritten message, actually delivered by a postman, forms the core of this edition: a tangible moment of connection in a time when digital distance often prevails.
The Wunderkammer of the Kleine Gebaar recalls the pleasure of slowing down, personal attention and sharing memories. A poetic installation that moves, makes you smile and connects.
