Open Table - Do you care?

Theater Rotterdam invites you to the table, where we eat together and talk about current themes, interspersed with art, performances and music. In this edition, the care system is central: how do we relate to the care we need and that is organised around us? What works, what doesn't, and how can it be done differently?

Care is a challenge for many people: informal caregivers are overburdened, the pharmaceutical industry feels like an intangible enemy and care is far from equally accessible to everyone. At the same time, care is a hot topic: self-care, collective care and healing play an increasingly important role in our lives.

At our table, guests from the heart of our healthcare system take their place. Policymakers and healthcare providers discuss the dilemmas they encounter with each other and the public. Do they follow the written rules? Or do they try to change the system from within like a modern 'Robin Hood'. In addition, people join us who offer care on their own initiative for which there is no place, time or money in our healthcare system.
