Oorlogswinter
This year marks exactly 80 years since the Second World War ended in the Netherlands. Before the liberation on 5 May 1945, there was a last long, harsh winter that further weakened the weakened Dutch population.
Despite the cold, exhaustion and hunger, the people do not give up. The cruel occupation of the Germans is opposed by various groups. Also by the young girl Maaike van Beusekom. Without knowing it in advance, Maaike suddenly becomes part of the resistance when she delivers a letter to help her best friend. In doing so, she puts herself and her family in great danger. But someone has to stand up to these criminals…
Oorlogswinter is a special story that takes place during the Second World War and is about courage, fear, friendship, betrayal and love. An exciting performance that asks the question: what would you do?
