Onderwijsavond met Tina Rahimy - over ambigue leermeesters en onloochenbare inspiratoren
Tina Rahimy is a political philosopher, speaker, writer and trainer. She taught ethics, philosophy and life philosophy for many years. In her book Hidden Stories: about teacher and inspirators (2019) she uses her personal story to show how attitude is crucial in education.
Stichting NIVOZ organizes a series of six educational evenings around the annual theme Wrongly connected - About how we can find each other again. On this second evening, in the Rotterdam Dokhuis, Tina will take us on a journey through a story about ambiguous teachers and undeniable inspirations, based on personal and collective experiences: do you seduce a child to your ideal image, or do you move along with the child's path?
For a teacher, it is essential to feel the 'temperature' of a conversation and a space, as Tina learned from one of her students. So don't switch off your feelings, but realize that you yourself are always an actor in the connection with your students. "The more you pretend as a teacher to be a neutrality in the classroom, instead of a human being with everything that entails, the further you distance your children." Of course, following Tina's story, we will also enter into the conversation and the connection this evening in the Dokhuis.
