Harold Verwoert is a singer and entertainer in heart and soul. From childhood he has been a great admirer of the music of Rob de Nijs.
As a 5 year old toddler he was already put on a stage at school to sing “Jan Klaasen was trumpeter” for the whole school. That is probably where his love for music and especially the music of de Nijs, started.
His tv debut was the program Sterrenjacht where he became a crowd favorite. He sang the song "open einde" again by Rob de Nijs.
After training at the conservatory, Harold started his career with theater group Jeans. (singer/dancer/vocal coach), he presented (live) TV and became known as Diego, the coolest Piet in the Netherlands. In that capacity he scored no. 1 hits and played in 6 movies (of which 5 achieved gold status)
In recent years he has been on stage as part of the Foreverly Brothers.
His big dream was always a solo program with songs by his source of inspiration Rob de Nijs. With this tribute, a long-cherished wish of Harold comes true. Harold will take you on a beautiful journey through time through the beautiful songs of de Nijs. From modest and empathetic in the ballads to swinging and exuberant in the sing-alongs. Harold knows how to capture you with his warm voice.
About CultuurClub
Together with Theaterwerkplaats voor Ouwe Rotten and SOL, we are organizing a morning in which people aged 65 and over will work together with singing, dancing and theater teachers to learn more from each other and from art and culture.
