NONCHELANGE

NONCHELANGE, aka Maarten Hutman, is a Dutch producer and rapper/singer who makes a mix of rap-inspired indie pop with a quirky, genre-transcending style. Maarten takes listeners into his vivid world of thought, where he reflects on the often harsh reality of life with a mix of absurdist humor, occasional narcissism and a playful charm. His music effortlessly combines lively, energetic melodies with abstract lyrics and special stories. Although his sound and vibe are unique, he can be compared to, for example, De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig.

In 2023, he released his debut album Muziek voor de Luisteraar, a collection of dreamy, cheerful beats and irresistibly catchy hooks. NONCHELANGE declared himself the unofficial winner of Noorderslag and was seen at Paaspop, Wildeburg and Into The Woods. He also appeared in the Zwolle episode of Muziekstad by VPRO/3voor12, together with Rico and Paceshifters. Together with LE MOTAT, he runs the label NONMOT, with which he firmly leaves his creative mark on the Dutch music scene.
