Nieuwe voorstelling - Hotel Modern
Hotel Modern creates theater performances in which puppetry, model art, theater and music are forged into intense visual stories.
Theater makers Pauline Kalker, Arlène Hoornweg and visual artist Herman Helle build complete miniature worlds on stage, populated by hundreds of characters. The players film scenes in these models with mini cameras, the images are projected life-size and provided with a live soundtrack. This method offers unprecedented possibilities: Hotel Modern can split the sea and brings cities of millions, spaceships and trench wars into the theater. The group is known for their absurdist work such as Shrimp Stories, in which 300 dried shrimp play the leading role in a comedy about humanity.
