Mytilini Rebetiko Ensemble

When Maria Seitanidou moved to Lesbos as a teacher sixteen years ago, she could not have imagined how special the place she would call home would be.

Maria Seitanidou not only found a home on Lesbos, but also a rich musical community in which she surrounded herself with renowned musicians. Together with guitarist and instrument maker Antonis Mylonas and bouzouki player Nikolas Pantaleon, she brings beloved songs from the interbellum to life. Their music reflects the encounters and influences of the island, where Greek and Turkish traditions meet. An evening full of melancholy, nostalgia and musical fusion.
