In November, the Marine Museum will be full of stories! For example, former Marine Ruud Bonte will talk about his mission to Cambodia in 1993. Ruud: “Cambodia had to become the Cambodians' again. The intention was to achieve this by disarming people and getting the country running again after the elections. But taking away people's weapons, while there had been 21 years of war, wasn't going to work.” Using his personal photo album, he will talk about the mission, the dangers and the impact. The lecture is free to attend with a valid entrance ticket to the Marine Museum.
