Mondo Perfetto Corpo Máquina

Corpo Máquina's artistic director Guilherme Miotto performs as a dancer himself, together with dancer Julia Nielsen. Percussionist Pedro Paixão plays Bach live on the marimba. In an open and shared space, Mondo Perfetto unravels intentions hidden deep within the body. The strategy is to approach all elements in the performance – presence, thoughts, imagination, dance, music – as vibrations. Vibrations that are used to question and blur the boundaries that separate the players from each other and from their environment. This creates a desire for unity within a reality that we often experience as fragmented and scattered in everyday life.

In the concert performance Mondo Perfetto, Guilherme presents a mix of waves and impulses. In the simplicity of movement, he tries to find a way to share with the audience the layered reality in which the players find themselves. Monumental gestures and sounds dismantled into steps and rhythms. A church-like theatre, a place of rituals. Where we come together to contemplate, in search of a path.
