Arabesque brings together film, music, art and culinary traditions from the MENA region in a unique and freely accessible cultural experience during the Rotterdam Arab Film Festival 2025.
Arabesque offers visitors an in-depth introduction to the films, music and culture of the MENA region. Visitors can immerse themselves in an inspiring mix of live performances, film screenings, stands and masterclasses. In addition, there are culinary experiences that focus on the rich flavours of the region. With a diverse programme that celebrates the creativity and traditions of the Arab world, Arabesque is a special opportunity to experience art and culture in an accessible way. Admission is free, allowing everyone to enjoy this unique cultural fusion.

Turkish Michelin-starred chef Maksut Aşkar opens café and bakery 'O' in Fenix
Fenix has asked star chef Maksut Aşkar to introduce his Anatolian cuisine in the Netherlands. Aşkar runs the 'World's 50' best-recognised restaurant neolokal in Istanbul. In Rotterdam, he is opening a café and bakery, with artisan bread to-go.
