Mathias Eick Quintet

Mathias Eick presents the music from his beautiful new album Lullaby . It is his eighth for the renowned German quality label ECM Records; recorded in the famous Rainbow Studio in Oslo.

Lullaby takes you back to childhood and reminds us that even the most powerful people were once children. With his unique trumpet sound, Eick knows how to deeply touch emotions.

Mathias Eick is a thoughtful man who plays with the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra and the Norwegian group Jaga Jazzist. He has worked with Chick Corea, Manu Katché and Pat Metheny, but just as easily with the psychedelic rock band Motorpsycho. Eick sees the trumpet as an extension of his body. He is also active as a vibraphonist, bassist, guitarist, pianist and singer. A jack of all trades without limits.
