The ships in the Maritime Museum Harbor will reopen to visitors.
The ships in the Maritime Museum Harbor will reopen to visitors. The Maritime Museum has the oldest and largest museum harbour in the Netherlands, on the spot where the Rotterdam harbour once began. This is where our historic ships are moored, as well as special guest ships. In our workshops you will discover the secret of maritime crafts and shipbuilding.
To start your visit to the museum harbour off right, first visit our lighthouse. There you will learn how the Rotterdam harbour grew to be the largest in Europe. Enjoy lunch, a cup of coffee or a drink with a view of the harbour at the museum café Het Lage Licht.
In the Maritime Museum Haven you can not only view the historic ships from the inside. You can learn more about life on board in times gone by and in the workshops you can learn more about maritime crafts. You can regularly take a tour with the whisper boat through the Maritime District or the Nieuwe Maas with the historic fleet of ships of the museum.
Various museum activities are also regularly organised on the quay or on board the ships.
