Marathon

Marathon is a band formed by the raw intensity of the Amsterdam underground scene. United by a shared passion for music that grazes the edges of the mainstream, the members create a sound that combines the sharpness of post-punk, the atmosphere of shoegaze and the introspection of indie. Their explosive post-punk exposes the chaotic beauty of existence. Despite the dark undertones, their music transforms postmodern frustrations into hopeful opportunities for a new beginning.

Known for their captivating live shows, Marathon has played at festivals such as Best Kept Secret, ESNS and Reeperbahn Festival. In the spring of 2025, debut album 'Fading Image' will be released, in which themes such as transience and resilience are central. This album explores a world in which hope and despair meet. Labeled as 'artist to watch' by 3voor12, KINK and de Volkskrant, Marathon is ready to spread their dark sound further.
