Magisch Realisme | Roel C. Verburg

Roel C. Verburg is a joker and not only during performances, but also in his spare time. But what is life like for someone who only makes jokes? Is that always fun? And also for his environment?

Roel thinks so and in general he is quite satisfied with his life. But in his songs he can always escape into another person or another life. And that's where the magic happens.

His previous cabaret show 'Rock & Roll' was about his life as a musician, 'Magical Realism' is about his life as a comedian.

“Songs in the tradition of Hans Dorrestijn, with the musical quality of Spinvis.” Elsevier

“Roel C. Verburg is a phenomenon in itself” Trouw

“Haha, great!” Jochem Myjer

**Biography Roel C. Verburg:**

Guitar comedian Roel C. Verburg is known for his relaxed stage personality and funny songs. In addition to his stories about his daily life as a flutter par excellence, he plays very funny songs ('Onder De Plak', 'Slechtste Rapper Van De Straat', 'Ik Koester Je Oester') on his electric guitar and is therefore the only one in the Netherlands who knows combining stand-up comedy with music. And where most comedians' songs provide a resting point, in Roel's songs the jokes continue at a high pace.

On the radio he performed a song every week in the Freaknacht with Giel Beelen on 3FM and later every Friday morning with Jeroen van Inkel on Radio Veronica and NPO Radio 5. On TV he was seen at Kopspijkers, Comedy Explosion, Tatatataal, Comedyclub Ka, among others. -tendrecht, DWDD and Padoem Patsss. He conquered many stages in the Netherlands and Belgium, played at festivals such as Lowlands, Concert At The Sea & Zwarte Cross and is also one of the regular comedians at Comedy Café.
