MAAK EEN VALS PERSOONSBEWIJS

Make a false identity card

The personal identification card (PB) was an identity card introduced by the Germans during the Second World War. From April 1941, all Dutch people aged 15 and over were required by the occupying forces to carry an identity card. People in hiding are illegal and therefore need a false identity card. To get food stamps, for example, or to travel under a false name. The resistance makes the fake identity cards for them.

Would you also have been a good forger and can you make a 'real fake' identity card yourself? Throughout the month of October, during History Month, you can try this out in Museum Rotterdam '40-'45 NOW!
