On the day of his wedding, young Edmond Dantès is wrongly accused and imprisoned in the notorious Château d'If prison. After fourteen years, he escapes and discovers a hidden treasure on the island of Monte Cristo. With a new identity, he returns as the mysterious Count of Monte Cristo, determined to take revenge on the men who betrayed him. This epic French costume drama, directed by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de la Patellière, has already won several awards and was a great success at the Cannes Film Festival and in cinemas.
