One thing is for sure: a show by the British Lambrini Girls is the most professional riot you will ever witness. The duo brings urgent feminist DIY punk that is above all fast, loud and wonderfully raw. With an inexhaustible source of righteous anger, they take punk back to its roots—as a platform for resistance and tackling socially relevant issues.

But it’s not all moshing and screaming, as they have a deeper mission. Above all, they want to create a safe space for queer people and other marginalized groups like themselves. On their debut EP You’re Welcome, the band vents about transphobic, self-proclaimed feminists (“Terf Wars”), the harmful culture of abuse in the music industry (“Boys in the Band”), and toxic masculinity (“Lads Lads Lads”). What’s remarkable is how quickly they form a tight-knit community of everyone present during their shows, simultaneously turning every audience member into a mosher, with a furious sizzle that often rages from start to finish.
