Kymara
Kymara's music is a beautiful combination of Nina Simone's storytelling, Janis Joplin's rawness and D'Angelo's soulfulness. Kymara found her own unique voice in her mid-twenties, a time when she had enough life experience to work big themes like identity, love and personal development into her songs.
She writes a lot of personal lyrics and doesn't shy away from topics like love, growth and discrimination. Kymara takes you on a personal journey through her life, like she does on her latest singles No Matter What They Say and You Dont' Know Me.
In recent years, Kymara played at the Great Escape Festival and Eurosonic. Last year, she also played at the North Sea Jazz Festival. And she won the Drake YolanDa Award for young artists.
