Kinderrondleiding Klein grut 7+
In spring, nature is bursting with new life – and it happens in the most extraordinary ways! During this children's tour in the Natural History Museum, you will discover all about it. Will you join us on a journey of discovery?
Spring is often seen as the time of new life. Birds build their nests to brood eggs, young foxes discover their hunting talent by happily running after everything that moves and the queen bee goes on a nuptial flight to ensure that she is fertile for the next four years. One animal lays eggs, the other is viviparous (like mammals), but ovoviviparous also exists! A mother shark has to wait two years for her offspring, while the golden hamster welcomes her young after only 16 days. Sperm whales and ostriches use babysitters (handy!) and can an elephant calf actually use its small trunk right away? Does a kangaroo learn to jump right away? Or a butterfly fly right away?
In addition to adult animals, the museum also has a beautiful collection of small fry. These collection items lend themselves well to telling special stories and fascinating facts. We can take a good look at the young rhinoceros that is normally in the depot, and the weight of an ostrich egg can also be felt! The children discover that our polar bear in the hall is already quite big, but is actually still a baby. Curious and full of questions? Come along!
The tour is for children, they will go on a tour of the museum with an experienced tour guide. Parents/guardians can visit the museum during the tour. No museum visit, but still want to stay nearby? Then visit the café of De Kunsthal for a coffee or explore the Museumpark.

When you are not in A State of Trance
A State of Trance offers a full programme on Friday night and Saturday night. But when Armin van Buuren and all his musical friends are not spinning in Ahoy, there is also plenty to do in Rotterdam.
