Kevin

Kevin in Annabel on Friday April 18

Kevin started 2023 strong with the release of 'Kipstraat' featuring JoeyAK. The track went viral on TikTok and ended up at #3 in the Spotify Charts. That year, Kevin did not stand still and achieved a #1 position in the Dutch Single Charts with his follow-up single 'Trust' with Yade Lauren. This release shows once again that Kevin and Yade Lauren are the golden duo within Dutch Hiphop.

Slowflow also signed two of his childhood friends: Flashy and Nathan to his label Animal Stories. This was followed by the first official release 'BlockBaby'. Incidentally, Kevin achieved a new peak with no less than 1.6 million monthly Spotify listeners.

This success continued during the 2023 festival season and he performed for the first time at festivals such as Pinkpop and Hullabaloo. After the summer, Slowflow was soon seen again in the ultimate battle, Red Bull SoundClash. Here he stood against his competitor Jonna Fraser, in this battle Kevin was able to demonstrate his musical creativity again.

After this he was purely on going, so he released his own version of Sef's 'De Leven' with S10. This song also reached a #1 position and managed to get more than 18,000 creations on TikTok. Two weeks later he released his long-awaited album 'Wonderland'. Kevin is very consistent and proved once again with this album that he belongs to the top of Dutch Hiphop through new musical developments and sounds. With this album he managed to drag in his fifth #1 album.

Slowflow closed the year with a sold-out show in Ahoy for the second time. Despite Kevin being known as Slowflowanimal, his career is anything but slow and he will continue this line in 2024.
