Karel de Rooij - Mijn Paradijs

When the mother of Karel de Rooij (better known as Mini, from the duo Mini & Maxi) died, she left behind a trunk full of posters, photos and letters. His entire family history turned out to be devoted to music and theater. Everything he had ever done in the theater was reflected in the work of the generations that preceded him. His parents, (great)grandparents, even his great-great-grandparents, they were all in the business. So what else could he have become but this?

At the age of 78, Karel is therefore more aware than ever of his family history. You will certainly see this later in the performance My Paradise, which he created together with musician Meike Portegies.
