Now the renowned company returns with their spectacular new production: KA-IN. This acrobatic ballet is a special collaboration with the French director and choreographer Raphaëlle Boitel of Cie. L'Oublié(e), in which traditions and modernity meet in an impressive visual universe full of power and pure joie de vivre.

Groupe Acrobatique de Tanger builds on a centuries-old tradition of human pyramids and acrobatic stunts, which originated with the nomadic Berber tribes. Where these techniques were once used to see enemies over high walls, the company now transforms them into spectacular contemporary art. Since their founding in 2003, they have combined this rich history with innovative, multidisciplinary creations and continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in acrobatics.

For KA-IN, the company invited Raphaëlle Boitel to direct. Mutual inspiration led them to an exciting encounter between theatrical worlds. Boitel's work is known for its refined mix of theatre, circus, dance, music and film. In KA-IN, the audience is immersed in a fascinating play of light and shadow, in which an intense deep blue plays a central role. This colour, inspired by the enchanting hues of the Moroccan city of Chefchaouen, forms a visual anchor point in a spectacle that evokes dreams and innovatively combines classical acrobatics with poetic images and surprising movements.

With 13 talented acrobats and (break)dancers, Groupe Acrobatique de Tanger brings a whirling circus epic that will leave you breathless. KA-IN is an ode to youth, a celebration of brotherhood, and an explosion of energy, in which bodies seek and push the boundaries of what is possible.
