Jess Gillam was the first saxophonist to reach the BBC Young Musician final and the youngest ever soloist at the Last Night of the Proms, the legendary final concert of the BBC Proms. Since then she has played all over the world, from the Royal Albert Hall to the Sydney Symphony Orchestra; as a soloist with orchestras or with her own ensemble. She comes to De Doelen with a chamber music program that reflects her instrument and personality: an adventurous mix of new works and old works, both original and arranged for saxophone.
