Indian Askin ^{+ Minor Citizen}

The brain behind the self-proclaimed “nu-punk band” Indian Askin is Amsterdam-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Nelson 'Chino' Ayala. Although the band has undergone some changes over the years, both in terms of line-up and sound, they remain true to their trademark groovy, loud and radio-friendly rock 'n' roll. Chino draws his inspiration from the music of his father, a harpist and percussionist, and from his deep obsession with punk rock and grunge from the '90s.

Indian Askin's energetic live shows are well-known. They have performed at all major festivals in the Netherlands, from Pinkpop to Zwarte Cross. Their studio albums are also popular: their debut album Sea of Ethanol even earned them an Edison in the category Best Newcomer. A new tour is planned for February 2025 to celebrate the release of new music, because Indian Askin is far from finished. There is much more to come!
