IN THE ELEVATOR is a tragicomic performance in which the world of an ambitious business woman (Rian Gerritsen) comes together with that of a young man who has fled (Yazan Al Hakim). It gradually becomes clear how far apart they are, but also immediately how many similarities they have. Locked in a cramped space, they unintentionally have to rely on each other. IN THE ELEVATOR makes you laugh and at the same time exposes social problems.

Annemarie Wisses' 'well-made plays', which are tragicomic and accessible to a wide audience, are an extremely welcome addition to the existing repertoire within theater texts. Through an apparently very specific and typical situation, Wisse brings to light universal and current themes.
