After a long illness, Arianne returns to her class where a new girl is sitting; the Afghan Zahra. They quickly become best friends and share everything with each other, such as Ari's crush on Renzo. But then Ari is told that her incurable disease has returned and Zahra discovers that she and her parents are being deported. Ari starts a fearless campaign under the motto 'don't cry, swap'. She is determined to give her place and future in the Netherlands to Zahra. Together with the BFFs, the school takes action in The Hague against the decision of the responsible minister. Eventually, even the entire country helps the combative best friends. Will they succeed in convincing the minister?
